China is currently experiencing rapid population aging, leading to a significant expansion of the elderly demographic. This aging process is accompanied by cognitive, motor, and sensory function decline and diseases, resulting in an increasing number of elderly individuals with disabilities. To address this challenge, extended reality technology offers a personalized, motivating, and human-computer interactive training environment that can effectively tackle the obstacles hindering active health and disability prevention in the elderly, such as inadequate infrastructure and motivation. This review summarized the current research status and effectiveness of extended reality technology in preventing disability among the elderly. Additionally, the review discusses the limitations and future prospects of extended reality technology in the context of elderly disability prevention, aiming to provide guidance for preventing disability in the elderly and promoting healthy aging.

Construction and validation of a low-level disaster resilience prediction model for medical rescue workers
XU Yehua, MAO Xiaorong, GUAN Jinying, ZENG Xia, WANG Haiyan, CHEN Xuemei, CHE Hong
Chinese Journal of Nursing    2023, 58 (23): 2901-2909.   DOI: 10.3761/j.issn.0254-1769.2023.23.012

Objective To analyze the influencing factors of disaster resilience in medical rescue workers,to construct a prediction model for the low-level risk of disaster resilience in medical rescue workers, and to verify the predictive effect of the model. Methods Using the convenience sampling method and the snowball method,1 037 medical rescue workers who participated in disaster rescue in 18 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities) were selected as the participants from May to July 2022. Online questionnaire surveys were conducted using general information questionnaires, disaster resilience measuring tools for healthcare rescuers, the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale, the Simple Coping Style Questionnaire and the Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to determine the independent influencing factors for the low level of disaster resilience of medical rescue workers. A risk prediction model was constructed, and a nomogram chart was drawn. The model’s effectiveness was evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) and calibration curve. The Bootstrap method was applied for internal validation. Results The logistic regression analysis showed that per capita monthly income of households, whether to participate in on-site disaster rescue, positive coping, mindfulness level, and adequacy of rescue supplies were independent influencing factors for the disaster resilience of medical rescue workers(P<0.05). The predictive formula for the low-level risk of disaster resilience in medical rescue workers was established as follows:Logit(P)=8.741-0.381 × per capita monthly income of households -0.891 × whether to participate in on-site disaster rescue -2.544 × positive coping -0.020 × mindfulness level -0.222 × adequacy of rescue supplies. The area under the ROC curve was 0.823,and the optimal critical value was 0.353. The sensitivity and specificity were 79.12% and 71.43%,respectively. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test showed that χ2=12.250(P=0.140),and the predicted curve fitted well with the ideal curve. The external validation showed that the sensitivity and specificity of the model were 75.00% and 66.39%,respectively,and the overall accuracy was 69.95%. Conclusion The prediction model in this study has sound predictive effects and can provide references and guidance for managers to select, recruit, and train medical rescue workers.

GAO Yitian, ZHOU Wanqiong, TIAN Jing, LIU Jing, WANG Qiuyi, ZHANG Wei, CHEN Xuemei, ZHOU Lanshu
Chinese Journal of Nursing    2023, 58 (11): 1372-1380.   DOI: 10.3761/j.issn.0254-1769.2023.11.015

Objective To summarize the best evidence on the management of neurogenic bowel dysfunction in adults with brain injury and to provide a reference for clinical care practice. Methods A systematic search of evidence on the management of neurogenic bowel dysfunction in patients with brain injury was conducted in computerized decision systems, guideline websites, professional association websites, and comprehensive databases from the establishment of databases to October 1,2022. Types of included evidence included clinical decision making, guidelines, evidence summaries, best practices, recommended practices, expert consensuses, systematic reviews, and Meta-analysis. The literature was independently evaluated by 2 experts trained in evidence-based methodological systems for the quality of the literature, and the evidence of the included literature was extracted, integrated and graded. Results A total of 18 papers were included, including 4 guidelines,3 expert consensus articles,1 evidence summary,1 recommended practice article, and 9 systematic reviews, and the overall quality of the literature was high. 38 pieces of evidence were summarized in 9 areas:assessment and timing of intervention, behavioral intervention, dietary management, assisted defecation, transanal irrigation, pharmacological intervention, electromagnetic stimulation intervention, complication prevention and control, and health education. Conclusions This study summarized the latest best evidence for the management of neurogenic bowel dysfunction in adults with brain injury, and provided a reference basis for clinical nursing practice. The best evidence should be reasonably selected for localized and individualized application in clinical practice, and the best evidence should be continuously updated to standardize nursing practice.

To summarize the nursing experience of 2 patients with fulminant myocarditis with awake V-A extracorporeal membrane pulmonary oxygenation and intra-aortic balloon pump. Nursing points:nursing care of catheter;nursing care of systemic anticoagulation;monitoring of respiratory, circulation and hemodynamics;nursing care of pain;training of myodynamia;dietary and psychological care. After treatment and nursing care,2 patients were transferred to the general ward for further treatment.
